Constant Rotation: BTSTU by Jai Paul

I have never been addicted to a track like this in a long time.  The beat has a hip hop feel and draws you in.  When I first played the track, I actually blew the song off and assumed I wouldn’t like it based on the first 20sec of the track.  It starts off innocent and then he begins with saying “Don’t fuck with me, don’t fuck with me”.  Then it goes into this compelling hip hop beat that’s absolutely addictive…I cannot stress that enough.

This song appears to clash on many fronts.  The lyrics are slightly explicit but he sings it in a high pitch soft a capella voice.  The hip hop beat is nice and addictive, but then the spaceship-like noises appear in the beat, and is that an orchestra in the end?  Yet, the unexpected clashes of sounds and vibes works extremely well to create the addictive track, BTSTU.  I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for more of Jai Paul‘s tracks, especially since I also recently fell in love with his remix of Emiliana Torrini’s Jungle Drum…which is 1000th times better than the original….
